Wednesday Evening
At Home Lectures: How To Keep Your Perspective - And Not Take On Others' Stuff -
Wednesday 5th November
Problem:
Have you experienced really looking forward to meeting up with someone only to be surprised how exhausted they make you?
Or wondered how a small disagreement with a loved one becomes full scale war as friends and family jump in, in full battle gear!
Well you are not alone. Often we think we are being a good partner or friend for getting involved, as we believe it shows how much we care. The sad thing is ‘being in it’ with them isn’t always the best way to give support.
When we worry with them and for them, we can get tired and miserable; when we take it on so much that we see parallels in our own lives (that were not even there until we went looking through their eyes), we can become stressed, even ill.
In this lecture we will look at
- how to retain a healthy perspective of what’s yours and what’s theirs
- how to be there , not in there for others
- how to recognise if you have been dumped on: a problem shared should be a problem solved , not halved!
- How to do empathy not sympathy
- How to set loving , caring boundaries that work for both you and others
From this lecture you will know how to stay healthier, how not to take on other’s stress, and have better quality relationships as a result.
You won’t have to ration the time you spend with others, you won’t have to say “ I haven’t got the energy to face so and so…”; instead you will have all the energy you need for your own life and not only theirs!
After my last lecture a lot of the places for November's lecture have been taken.
So if you would like to book please do it now.
How To Survive Christmas
- Wednesday 3rd December
Some people find Christmas a very magical time...
..but a lot of people find it very stressful
and can't wait for it to be over!
Things can seem funnier and more wonderful than ever
or sadder and a whole lot worse!
So what do you need to do to have the Christmas that you've always dreamed of?
In this lecture we deal with
- Expectations and how they can conspire against us if we let them!
- The challenge of compromise – “whose family are we visiting this year? Do we have to…”
- How to manage the guilt that can spoil even the best party for you and everyone around- “ Yes, we do HAVE to..”
- Why we often feel exhausted, even fall ill , at a time we need our energy most for one of the busiest times of the year
- The effects of Xmas leftovers, culinary and more importantly financial, that can get the new year off to a worrying start
From this lecture
- you will walk away knowing how to take care of yourself and those around you at this magical time,
- how to set realistic expectations that leave room for relaxation and fun,
- how to pace yourself and your finances..
- what else makes a great Xmas : what money can’t buy
You will be free to start the New Year refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to start a brand New Year with abundance!
There are already places booked on this very special lecture so if you would like to book please do it a.s.a.p. as seating is limited.
If you would like to be posted a leaflet
